SOMA
A Winter Retreat
26th - 29th of November, 2026
Winklergut Austria
SOMA
Jivamukti Yoga · Breathwork · Ritual · Connection
In Sanskrit, Soma refers to the sacred nectar or elixir of the gods and is also associated with the moon. It evokes something nourishing, restorative and deeply connected to the senses.
My intention is to let this extended weekend nourish us and bring us into greater coherence on a body, mind and soul level.
SOMA is about nourishment through the senses, nature, touch, movement and with each other.
Alongside the practices of Jivamukti Yoga and Breathwork, we will explore nature, learn to lead and surrender, sweat it out in a sauna ritual, and explore what it means to connect with one another authentically.
Our home for the weekend is Winklergut, a boutique hotel with character, warmth and a little touch of luxury. A place that invites you to nourish your inner king and queen while also giving you the freedom to step outside, get muddy, breathe deeply and fully rewild in nature.
A weekend to slow down, get cosy, connect and enjoy being alive.

Do I need to be good at yoga to join?
No. The yoga is accessible to different levels and you are always invited to work at your own pace. No previous experience is required.Do I need any previous experience with breathwork or somatic practices?
No. All practices are guided step by step and are suitable for beginners as well as people with previous experience. What do you mean by somatic practices?
Somatic practices bring attention to the body, sensations, breath and nervous system. They are an invitation to become more aware of what you feel, need and experience in the moment. What does “leading & receiving” mean?
We explore both sides of connection: taking the lead and allowing yourself to be guided. Through simple partner practices, we explore trust, communication, boundaries, listening and reciprocity. Can I come with my partner?
Absolutely. SOMA is open to couples as well as individuals. You can share the experience with your partner while also having opportunities to connect and practice with others. Can I come on my own?
Yes. You don't need to come with a partner or know anyone beforehand. The retreat is designed to create connection naturally while also giving you plenty of space for yourself. Will I be expected to do intimate practices with someone other than my partner?
No. All practices are invitations. We will communicate clearly about the different options, and you can always choose what feels right for you and your relationship. Will there be physical touch?
Yes, there may be guided practices involving touch. Everything is invitational and consent-based. You are always free to say no, change your mind or choose an alternative. Is there any nudity?
No. There will be no nude practices. What if English is not my first language?
The retreat will be held in English. If you only speak German, we will support you with translation where needed. Is the retreat suitable for beginners?
Yes. You don't need any previous experience. Come as you are, with curiosity and an openness to explore. What should I expect from the retreat?
A combination of yoga, breathwork, somatic and sensory practices, ritual, nature, singing, sauna, touch, rest and connection — all within a cosy and beautiful setting. What if I need some alone time?
There will be plenty of space to step back, rest, walk in nature or simply do nothing. Participation is encouraged, but you never have to be “on” all weekend. What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes for yoga and movement, warm clothes and shoes for being outside, a swimsuit for the sauna, and anything that helps you feel comfortable and cosy during the weekend.
Come as you are.
Leave more connected - to yourself & the people around you.
